PROLONGED END STAGE FETAL HEART RATE DECELERATION

From the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Vanderbilt University Hospital, Nashville, Tennessee.

With the use of routine monitoring of all patients in labor, a number of confusing, seemingly ominous fetal heart rate tracings in otherwise normal, healthy patients have been observed. This report describes one such type of pattern called prolonged end stage deceleration.
